instalación de VMWare en ubuntu

Antes de utilizar el vmware, existen otras posibilidades como por ejemplo: quemu, VirtualBox.

El paquete VirtualBox para ubuntu lo podeis encontrar desde aqui.

El manual lo podeis encontrar en esta página.Es más sencillo que vmware y parece que consume menos recursos.
Para poder hacer funcionar el vmware necesitamos unos cuanto paquetes:

apt-get install libx11-6 libx11-dev libxtst6 xlibs-dev xinetd wget

Despues de descargar estos paquetes y librerias,pasamos instalar herramientas que necesita para poder instalarlo.Es muy posible que muchos de ellas ya las teng vuestro sistema, pero son las que hacen falta.

apt-get install build-essential linux-headers-`uname -r`

Con ello conseguimos instalar las cabeceras que luego nos las pedirá el vmware.

Vamos al directorio donde se encuentre el vmware.

cd vmware-server-distrib
./vmware-install.pl
